“Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.” If those six words mean anything to you, then you’re already perfectly aware of exactly who Aimee Teegarden is.

The actress, 24, played eldest daughter Julie Taylor in Friday Night Lights for all five of the seasons that the smash-hit football drama aired on NBC. It’s by far her most visible role to date, and it has earned her a pretty dedicated fan base.

These days, Aimee is back in high school, starring on The CW’s new romance series, Star-Crossed. But instead of dealing with football games and Texas teen drama, she’s in for a much more intergalactic experience. The actress plays Emery, a human high school girl who falls for her alien classmate, Roman (Matt Lanter).

For Matt’s part, the 30-year-old has a long list of previous acting credits to his name — from the rebooted version of 90210 to TV movies about ice skating — but what about Aimee? FNL can’t be her only previous acting role.

Before landing Friday Night Lights in 2006, she’d only had bit roles on shows like Cold CaseCSI: Miami, and Hannah Montana. In 2009, she had an arc on The CW’s 90210 (though she didn’t share any scenes with Matt).

Aimee also appeared in 2011’s Scream 4 and the 2011 teen comedy flick Prom. In 2013, she starred alongside Liam Hemsworth and Teresa Palmer in the movie Love and Honor.

All of that is cool, of course. Those other roles sound great. But, when it comes down to it, Aimee will always be Julie Taylor in our minds. #FridayNightLightsForever
