Aimee Teegarden plays the gorgeous Emery Whitehill on Star-Crossed, and one-half of the love story it's based around. At just 24, she's been working a long time to get here, though — she decided to get into acting at 10 years old, and hasn't looked back.

You Recognize Her From Friday Night Lights. While Aimee had a much different hairdo as Julie Taylor, the eldest daughter of Tami and Coach Taylor on Friday Night Lights, she has that same great eyebrow game, adorable smile, and starry eyes. Be less adorable, you!
If there is a brand-new Friday Night Lights movie happening, Aimee says she's totally down. "I would love to see everyone again and put my Julie Taylor back on," she told us back in June.
She Got Her High School Diploma at 16. Talk about self-discipline! Aimee not only graduated high school at just 16 years old, she did it all through independent study — and right on time, too. She landed her role on FNL at about the same time.
"I've always been the type of person who wanted to move on to bigger and better things, and for me, high school was more of a nuisance than anything," Aimee told the Orange County Register in 2011. "But I love learning, and I'm taking French lessons and a painting class. I just didn't like being told how long I had to be in class, or how much time I had to spend on homework.
She's Already a Homeowner… And Has Been Since She Was 21. Always mature for her age, Aimee not only started her career early, but owned her first home by the time she was 21 years old — in her native Orange County. She wouldn't give specifics, but she told the Orange County Register that she's "20 minutes from the beach."
She's a Vegetarian. Like her Friday Night Lights character, Aimee is a vegetarian! In fact, she's mostly entirely vegan — while promoting her 2011 film Prom, Aimee said that she's "vegan 99% of the time," adding that she feels "a lot better and cleaner and I'm ethically a lot happier."
She Has a Really Cute, Impossibly Tiny Dog. Aimee has an itty-bitty dog named Gizmo, who she even brings to work with her! She posted one of many photos of the lil guy to Twitter with the caption, "On my way to work with the munchkin. #livingmydream."
