Another week, another Star-Crossed episode full of political unrest with Emery Whitehill (Aimee Teegarden) all caught up in the middle. In tonight's episode, "Give Me a Torch," some anti-Atrian bigotry combined with a misunderstanding lands Emery in more hot water than usual!

As we covered last week, Taylor (Natalie Hall) discovers this week that she's pregnant with her ex, Drake (Greg Finley)'s, baby — and since the kid would be half-human, half-Atrian, a (supposed) Red Hawk named Vartan is not having it. "They use our women to breed," he rants to Grayson Montrose (Gray Damon) in a promo. "That's how it starts!"

As it turns out, Vartan doesn't realize Taylor's the one who's pregnant! He sees Emery and Sophia (Brina Palencia) researching Atrian pregnancy, and jumps to one big conclusion: Roman (Matt Lanter) knocked up Emery. So he kidnaps her.

It's an easy conclusion to jump to — after all, Roman and Emery's relationship went super-public a couple of weeks ago, while Drake and Taylor's ended before the rumor mill could get around to it. It's not like it would be any better if Taylor were the one getting kidnapped, but considering that Roman is all set to be Iksen (an Atrian leader) when he comes of age, we foresee gigantic personal and political drama ahead.

So is this kidnapper Red Hawk or Trag? Both the anti-Atrian and the anti-human group would have serious problems with a Romery baby — and while Vartan seems to be a Red Hawk from the promo, we know that the Trags have some Atrians masquerading as humans around town. We'll just have to watch and see.

Speaking of drama, even amid this potentially-violent situation, high school social situations march on at the big Winter Blast dance. Taylor and Sophia dance following up last week's big kiss, Gray cuddles up to his ex Emery, and Taylor, kidnapped or not, still has to deal with her pregnancy. On a wholly positive note, Julia (Malese Jow)'s relationship with Eric (Jesse Luken) is in those warm, fuzzy beginning stages, so we're expecting more of that tonight.

Here's the synopsis of tonight's episode, courtesy of the CW.

EMERY IS KIDNAPPED — Sophia (Brina Palencia) suspects Taylor (Natalie Hall) is pregnant with Drake’s (Greg Finley) baby.  Sophia tells Emery (Aimee Teegarden) and the two research Atrian pregnancies. Vartan (guest star Marcus Hester) stumbles upon the information and mistakenly believes Emery is pregnant, so he kidnaps her. Vega (guest star Merle Dandridge) tasks Teri (Chelsea Gilligan) with finding the Iksen’s key, which they need to complete the Suvek.  Meanwhile, Roman (Matt Lanter) and Castor (Johnathan Schreach) testify before the Hwatab about the day the spaceship crashed. Also, Eric (Jesse Luken) shares a nice moment with Julia (Malese Jow).
