#RichKids of Beverly Hills is off to a fabulous start! E!’s new reality series follows the lives of five of the wealthiest young adults in Beverly Hills, and audiences are definitely tuning in to catch all the drama.

The Wrap reports that #RichKids’s January 19 and 20 two-night premiere brought in more than 1 million viewers in total, with more than 5.5 million tuning in via repeats or later viewing. While those numbers aren’t as big as an average network show, #RichKids is currently on track to be E!’s best-performing series for Women ages 18 to 49 and 18 to 34 since August 2012.

Both episodes aired right after the two-night Season 9 premiere of E!’s most successful show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, a prime timeslot that no doubt worked in #RichKids’s favor. The newest Kardashians episodes got 2.4 million viewers, up more than 40 percent from last fall’s premiere.

As the hashtag in its title implies, #RichKids is all about social media, so it’s no surprise that the reality series was extremely popular on Twitter. During Episode 2 on Monday, the show got 14,300 Twitter mentions, bringing its two-night premiere average to a whopping 37,000+ tweets.
