‘Game of Thrones’ Net Worth: How Much Does the HBO Cast Make?

The fortunes of the Game of Thrones characters rise and fall, but those of the HBO cast only go up!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers negotiated with cast members two years ago and came up with a tier system for its sprawling cast.

The “A” tier — Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) — got the biggest pay bumps, up to nearly $300,000 an episode, per Deadline. (More recently, however, Variety reported they’re earning $500k per episode.)

The “B” tier — including Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark)  — got lesser raises, and the “C” tier got even lesser raises.

Anyway, keep reading for the reported net worths of that A-tier.

The 30-year-old behind Daenarys Targaryen aka Mother of Dragons also landed another big genre role when she played Sarah Connor in last summer’s Terminator Genisys, and then followed that role up with a romantic performance in this year’s Me Before You. She also has two movies coming up: Above Suspicion and Voice From the Stone.

But she’s not just a screen star! In 2013, she starred in Broadway’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and in 2015, she became the face of Dior’s Rose des Vents fine jewelry collection. Dracarys!

Lena Headey: $1.5 million

Like Emilia, this 43-year-old also played Sarah Connor — starring in FOX’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles before reigning supreme over Game of Thrones as Queen Cersei. You also saw her portray a fierce queen in both 300 and its sequel, 300: Rise of an Empire.

Her net worth may be lower than those of her co-stars since she was admittedly broke in 2013 as she battled ex Peter Loughran for custody of their son, Wylie.

Peter Dinklage: $10 million

Former Master of Coin Tyrion Lannister would be impressed by his portrayer’s fortune. Peter is one of the show’s most established stars, having appeared in films like The Station Agent, Elf, and Death at a Funeral before joining Game of Thrones and X-Men: Days of Future Past, Pixels, The Boss, and The Angry Birds Movie afterwards.

Elsewhere on screen, the 47-year-old has lent his voice to Chrysler commercials. He also voiced a character in bestselling video game Destiny… before he and his unenthusiastic performance were replaced.

Kit Harington: $4 million

In addition to his Game of Thrones work, this 29-year-old Londoner also appeared in the films Pompeii, MI-5, Testament of Youth, Seventh Son, and How to Train Your Dragon 2.

He also modeled for Jimmy Choo fragrance ads in 2014 and appeared in Infiniti ads this year.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: $6 million

This Dane has graced the silver screen in an number of high-profile movies, like Black Hawk Down, Wimbledon, Kingdom of Heaven, Oblivion, The Other Woman, and Gods of Egypt. Like his Game of Thrones sister, he too led a FOX show, the short-lived New Amsterdam. And lately you’ve seen Nikolaj shilling for Apple TV. The 46-year-old and wife Nukaaka have two teenage daughters.

Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres on HBO in Summer 2017.
