How Much Are The Real Housewives of New Jersey Paid?

You didn’t think the Real Housewives of New Jersey pulled hair and flipped tables for free, did you? Please! You could buy a lot of cannolis with the coins Bravo pays its Jersey girls.

Last year, OK! Magazine issued a list of salaries from each RH show. The highest-paid Housewife in the whole franchise, at the time, was Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes, but New Jersey's Teresa Giudice ranked at No. 2. They said she was paid $650,000 plus bonuses, per season. The rest of last season's cast members were paid a bit less. Caroline Manzo was said to make $400,000, Melissa Gorga made $350,000 and Jacqueline Laurita was listed at $275,000.

Only Teresa and Melissa are returning as RHONJ Season 6 full-timers, and their salaries may have jumped. Teresa needs all the money she can get to pay off her many debts, as she and Joe Giudice prepare for sentencing. Dina Manzo has returned after a three-season break, and she might be somewhere in the Melissa/Jacqueline range. Three newbies were also cast for Season 6, and you'd have to imagine they're making a bit less.

Still — if you could pick up a six-figure paycheck just for opening your life to cameras and scrutiny, would you do it? Even knowing how the H’wives' lives change, and how fans can turn on you, and how the editing reshapes everything that happened, would you still do it or no way?

Catch the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 premiere on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 8 p.m. ET.
