How Were the Ratings For The Vampire Diaries on March 7, 2013?

This week marked another Vampire Diaries rerun. The show is on hiatus until March 14, so the ratings for last night’s re-airing of Season 4, Episode 11, “Catch Me If You Can” weren’t on par with new episode levels.

According to TV by the Numbers, 0.96 million viewers tuned in to see Jeremy try to take on bar full of vampires in order to grow the hunter’s mark. Sob! He was so young and innocent then. Maybe it was too painful for people to revisit?

The numbers were down from the 2.89 million viewers who tuned into Season 4, Episode 15, “Stand By Me.”

Via a press release, The CW announced that TVD "finished #3 for the 8 p.m. hour in adults 18-49 (1.3/4) and adults 18-34 (1.4/5 - tie), beating both ABC's Zero Hour and NBC's comedies." Though those shows were up over the vampire show this week (except Zero Hour, which has been cancelled), it probably helped that TVD was a rerun.

Next week, new episodes will return with Season 4, Episode 16, “Bring It On.” Elena rejoins the cheer squad, throws a party, and drinks from some humans. Oh, and she gets naked in front of the Salvatore brothers and Caroline.

Plus, at least one of her friends is afraid she’ll go Ripper. You don’t want to miss that!
