Sean Lowe Drives Boat Through Hurricane Harvey to Rescue Victims (PHOTOS)
The Dallas native is now pitching in on the effort to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey in his home state.
And the photos from his rescue trip to Houston are truly moving.
“Trying my best to make it to Houston,” he wrote alongside a series of three photos on his Instagram story, showing him with a boat attached to the back of his truck.
He added in a later post, “Made it as far as I could. Sleeping at a gas station tonight.
“I miss my bed. And my wife,” the 33-year-old continued with another shot.
He finally made it to Houston by Monday, and was sure to share what he witnessed upon arriving in the ravaged city.
With a three-pic post, he shared devastating images of the flooded streets and homes he saw while rescuing victims in the area.
“Today I had the chance to do what I could to help some people in the Houston area. I couldn’t believe the devastation,” he captioned.
Today I had the chance to do what I could to help some people in the Houston area. I couldn't believe the devastation. My heart broke for all the elderly who are immobile and the mothers trapped in their homes with young babies. But I was encouraged by the selflessness of so many Texans who came to help where they could. Definitely a day I'll never forget.

His wife Catherine was quick to applaud his heroic actions, reposting the shots on her own Instagram.
She gushed, “I am so proud of my husband and all the other amazing people out there helping those in need in the Houston area.
“Praying for safety for all those affected as I do what I can from afar,” the busy mama stated.
“Please donate what you can - clean underwear, diapers, formula, feminine hygiene products, clean clothes - to your local dropoff.”
The Season 17 star isn’t the only Bachelor alum getting involved — even through social media. Fellow Dallas native JoJo Fletcher also is asking for her fans support in saving her home state, tweeting volunteer info and donation lines.
“My heart is completely broken! So many family, friends, & sweet animals in need. If anyone has any boats or means to help please do!” she pleaded alongside a photo of a flooded animal shelter this week.

PLEASE HELP! *** 9 1 1 *** We are in serious need of help! They opened the dam north of us and we got over a foot of water overnight...and it's still rising! They're going to release more water from upstream and more rain is on the horizon. We've got to go and we've got to go now! We won't leave the dogs so need help getting them out by boat. We need temporary places for them to stay as well. We will need about 20 more large crates. We're still having trouble wrapping our heads around this and really aren't sure where to begin.
