Ellen Pompeo: I Hide Daughter Stella Luna from my Grey’s Anatomy Babies
Ellen Pompeo is such a good mom as Meredith Grey on Grey's Anatomy that we don't doubt some of that skill comes from real life experiences with her daughter, Stella. But it never occurred to us that Stella might get jealous of Ellen's on-screen bonding time with Mer's kids, Zola and baby Bailey.
And according to what Ellen said on a recent appearance on Queen Latifah's talk show, 4-year-old Stella doesn’t take sharing Mommy very well.
"She comes to set, and she has to see me hold the other babies, and she doesn't like it so much," Ellen admitted. "I definitely try to keep her away on the days that I have to film with the children. I don't really have her there."
Probably a smart move, because we can't imagine how stressful it must be wrangling an envious toddler in the middle of your work day!
"I feel really guilty," Ellen added. "Just picture it: she goes to school, I'm going to work, and she's, like, at the little preschool, like, 'My mama's somewhere holding another little girl and I'm here doing the alphabet.'"
It’s okay, Stella. If Ellen Pompeo was our mom, we wouldn't let her out of our sight, either. We totally don't blame you.
