Ian Harding loved playing bad during Ezra Fitz's season-long lapse into evil, and in the first trailer for his new movie, Addiction: A '60s Love Story (previously called Dynamite: A '60s Love Story), he really channels the dark side.

Addiction stars Ian as Max, a young man living in the '60s. He drops out of college to start a life with his love, Teresa (played by Evanna Lynch, whom you probably know as Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter). But things spiral dangerously out of control as he gets caught up in the underground porn industry and addicted to heroin.

Yeah, this flick isn't exactly ABC Family material, but it looks like one heck of a performance on Ian's part.
While it seems Max has very little fun over the course of this tense thriller, Ian apparently had a blast filming it — at least if Instagram posts like this are anything to go by!

Want to see Ian on the big screen? It hits select theaters in New York and L.A. on October 23, 2015. For those of you not in those cities, never fear: it will also be out via VOX on November 3.
