Vampire Diaries Stars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley Answer Crazy Fan Questions (VIDEO)

It’s been a long summer waiting for Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries to grace our TV screens, but the wait is finally almost over! And just to get us even more giddy with excitement, executive producer Caroline Dries rounded up the sexy Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) and the equally smouldering Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) to answer some crazy fan questions.

What ensued was the greatest 85 seconds of our entire lives. The questions ranged from silly vampire questions to tough hitting ponderings like “can vampires get drunk?” These are things you’ve always wondered but could never ask, and these guys have all the answers to those hard-hitting inquiries.

Check out what these goofballs had to say. And be warned, it’s maybe the most adorable interview in the history of all interviews.

Fan Question: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Ian Somerhalder: That compulsion thing where I just look at you and make you do whatever I want.
Paul Wesley: The ability to punch anyone in the face without repercussions.
Ian: Whoa, see the difference there?

If you could become a vampire in real life, would you?

Ian: No.
Paul: Yes.

Which cast member makes you laugh the most?

Ian: Paul Wesley. As boring as he seems in this interview, he’s actually one of the funniest people you’ve ever met.
Paul: Thank you Ian, that’s sweet of you.

Can vampires get drunk?

Ian: Wasted.
Paul: I love that she wrote that she has an interesting question. Vampires, we’ve been drunk. So the answer is yes.
Caroline Dries: Yeah, I feel like my dad always points out that they’re drinking in every scene.
Ian: Yeah, even at 9 in the morning, Damon, you know (drinking hand motion).
Paul: And then we graduate from high school.
Ian: You do.
Paul: Your time is coming. Still gonna get that GED, buddy.

Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries premieres on October 3 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
