If Snooki Is Pregnant Does This Mean There Won’t Be a Jersey Shore Season 6?

The fate of the original Jersey Shore cast is still up in the air with regards to a potential sixth season, but Snooki’s recent pregnancy news might have killed off all hopes of another season.

According to Page Six, Snooks is reportedly pregnant with her and boyfriend Jionni LaValle’s first child. If the lil’ star is pregnant (she has yet to confirm or deny the report) it could mean that she won’t be able to appear in another season of the hit show, and potentially kill off the franchise.

Think about it: Jersey Shore is all about getting drunk, smushing random people, and crazy antics. All three of those things do not mix well with young moms. (Take note, Teen Mom stars.) Although MTV has not yet officially signed the cast on for a sixth season, adding a pregnant guidette into the cast might not be the image that the network wants to put out there. And can you really imagine a Jersey Shore without Snooki?

Snooki is reportedly three months along, and since Jersey Shore typically films in the late spring and summer, she could potentially be in her third trimester when the hypothetical sixth season tapes. While the thought of a ready-to-pop Snooki might make for good TV, not even the biggest Snooki haters would want to see her going through her first pregnancy on the vodka-soaked show that is Jersey Shore.

Snooki is currently filming her new spin-off with JWOWW and the rumors of her pregnancy have reportedly already sent MTV into crisis mode. We guess we’ll have to wait and see what comes of the rumors and how this might effect the future of Jersey Shore.

Jersey Shore airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
