Sarah Drew Reunites With ‘Grey’s’ Co-Star Justin Bruening in New Film

April Kepner left Matthew Taylor at the altar in Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 — but here we are three years later, and lo and behold, they’re married!

Yes, Grey’s star Sarah Drew and her one-time scene partner Justin Bruening are an on-screen couple again in a new film!

The movie is Indivisible, which just wrapped after shooting in Santa Clarita, California, and Memphis, Tennessee.

Plus, Sarah is not only a star of the movie, she’s also an executive producer.

Indivisible is “based on the real-life struggles of U.S. Army Chaplain Darren Turner, a decorated Iraqi war vet who comes home to an unexpected emotional struggle that threatens his marriage, his family and his faith,” as Variety reports.

The real-life Darren started his tour of duty in 2007, serving as a battlefield chaplain in Iraq for 15 months before returning home.

But he came home a different man, so different that he and wife Heather separated.

“I came home angry,” Darren told CNN in 2012.

“Even my attitude, which I thought I was in control of, was walling me in. I didn’t realize it until my wife told me, ‘You’re no longer welcome in our house.’”

Happily, the couple eventually reconciled, and it’s their resilience that inspired Indivisible.

“The heart of the film is about marriage,” Sarah tells Variety.

“The military is the setting through which we tell a story about what it means to fight hard for the vows you make on that day you stand before God and before your community and you say, ‘I will love you until the day I die.’”

Sarah and Justin co-star in the film with other faces you’ll recognize: The Game’s Tia Mowry, Nashville’s Eric Close, Scandal’s Madeline Carroll, and two other Grey’s actors.

One is Season 13 guest star Skye P. Marshall — who played Mary Rhodes, one of the mothers of April and Jackson’s young patient in Montana.

And the other is — drum roll, please — Grey’s series regular Jason George!

So here we have a film with April Kepner, the man she left at the altar, the man who delivered her baby, and the woman whose baby she saved.

Oh, and did we mention the guy who almost shot her? Talk about a Grey’s Anatomy reunion!
