Over the past five seasons Glee has a had a revolving door of guest stars that reads like a list of Hollywood’s best and brightest, and with the sixth and final season set to begin shooting in a matter of weeks, the show’s co-creator, Ryan Murphy undoubtedly has some surprises up his sleeve.
Ryan has said that Glee’s sixth season would go back to its roots of arts education in schools — something last week’s addition of five new McKinley students seems to support — and he’s also made it clear that any original cast members who wish to return for the final season are invited to do so. We’re not sure if that invitation extends to the show’s many guest stars but surely Ryan could make an exception for American Idol darling Adam Lambert (Starchild), no?
Adam chatted with Thebacklot.comrecently, and they asked him if he has any plans to head back to the FOX dramedy. “I have no idea!,” he admitted. “Technically they were ‘Hey, you’re going to have five episodes’ and we said ‘great, cool’, and then I filmed the five episodes and had an awesome time doing it, so I don’t know.”
We certainly loved having Starchild in the mix, but seeing as how much of Season 6 looks like it’s going to be set in Ohio and Starchild clearly thrives in NYC, we’re not sure how a reemergence in the final season would fit into the plot. Could the “glittery rock vampire” reconnect with Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss)? At their highly-anticipated wedding, perhaps? We’ll just have to wait and see!
