Is American Idol New Tonight? 5/2/2013

With a lot of your favorite shows hitting repeat status, you might be wondering, “Is American Idol new tonight?” Not only is it new but it just might be the most dramatic Season 12 episode yet.

With no saves from the American Idol judges left, it’s anyone’s guess as to which of the Top 4 ladies will be going home tonight. While Amber Holcomb basically waved the white flag of surrender last night, you never know with American Idol. We could be in for a big surprise, especially considering these four girls are all amazingly talented.

On top of finding out whose Idol journey has come to an end, Season 7 American Idol winner David Cook will return to his Idol roots to perform his new single, “Laying Me Low.” Last night’s mentor, Harry Connick, Jr., will also be returning to sing “Every Man Should Know.” Will he duke it out again with Randy Jackson? Only time will tell!

We joked about the fact that it might be cool to see and Harry Connick, Jr. duet but little did we know that Harry’s song actually includes, so we’re in for something truly unique.

We must point out that, with all of the controversy surrounding the possibility of shakeup at the judges table next season, a panel made up of David, Harry, and seems like a dream team, doesn’t it? Throw Carrie Underwood into the mix and let’s call it a day!

Make sure to tune in for the one-hour results episode (8 p.m.- 9 p.m. ET on FOX).

What are you most looking forward to on tonight’s show?
