From what we’ve heard about The Originals, New Orleans is shaping up to be a pretty dangerous place. We’ve got werewolves, vampires, and unborn hybrid babies (oh my!) — and in the midst of all the supernatural forces, there’s Camille O’Connell, aka Cami (Leah Pipes), the lone human in a city full of monsters.
But don’t expect her human nature to be a turn-off to the sexy male vamps running around the Big Easy. “I wish I, in life, got as much male attention as Cami does on this show,” Leah joked to TV Guide.
Uh-oh, so is Cami going to get hot and heavy with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), the self-proclaimed King of New Orleans? “He is looking for a classy lady that meets all of his standards,” Leah said. “So he is going to test the waters to see if Cami really is that person for him.”
Let’s get real, though. This is a Julie Plec show, which means there is going to be a love triangle. And guess who else Cami is going to attract: Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) himself. This is going to put the blond bartender in quite a sticky spot, seeing as how Klaus and Marcel are now sworn enemies, despite the fact that Marcel was once Klaus’s protégé.
If this sounds familiar, it should! This is quite similar to what Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) went through on The Vampire Diaries, getting stuck between Klaus and her high school sweetheart Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino). We only say she isn’t like Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) because at least she isn’t caught between two brothers. There’s always that.
Are you excited to see Cami on The Originals? Don’t miss the premiere tonight, October 3, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW. Then catch another new episode when the show switches to Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. beginning October 8.
