Is Ezra “A”? Clues From Pretty Little Liars Season 4, Episode 18 — “Hot for Teacher”

Is Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding) really "A" on Pretty Little Liars Season 4? It's the question of the hour, and each week he looks more and more guilty. But is everything as it seems? We've gathered the biggest clues for and against Ezra's "A" guilt from Season 4, Episode 18 (“Hot for Teacher”)!

Clues Ezra IS "A"

He has a creepy "A" lair. He has an "A" lair in his basement, complete with multiple computers, tons of photos of the Liars, and an apparently infinite assortment of hoodies. Also, as we saw while he was hanging in his car, he has video surveillance footage of all of the Liars. That's pretty much "A"'s MO. And obviously he's up to something bad, because there is no world in which a teacher spying on a bunch of his teenage students is even a little OK.

The apartment in Ravenswood. Spencer also found evidence that suggests Ezra once rented an apartment in Ravenswood, which ties him to the other "A" lair even more firmly than before.

He threatened Spencer. His barely veiled threats to Spencer to stop investigating did not make him look good; neither did the fact that he was looking into her file at school.

He was being creepy with Aria. Let's be real: He tried to convince Aria that he should be the person she tells everything and even hinted she should break off her friendship with the Liars if it was interfering with their relationship. That is completely unhealthy, and seems like something "A" would do. "A" loves messing with the Liars.

Clues Ezra ISN'T "A"

He's not working alone. This episode definitely made it seems like Ezra is not working alone. When he was looking at the pics in the basement they seemed to be new to him, and while he could have snuck out of the cabin at night to snap those shots of Shana and Emily, it would make more sense if someone else was taking the pics. So that raises a question: Is the photo taker working for him, or vica versa?

He wants to tell Aria the truth? Most of Ezra's little speeches to Aria seemed totally creepy, but there were a few moments where he talked about how he should tell her the truth where he almost seemed... genuine? It could just be good acting on his evil part, but maybe he's considering coming clean about something, which seems very un-"A".

What's with Wren? The episode tag showed "A" with a bunch of prescription pads bearing the name of none other than Wren Kingston. Did EzrA steal those? Or does Wren work for him? Both are possibilities.... but this could also be a clue that Wren is the real "A".
