Is Ian Back From the Dead? Spoilers From Pretty Little Liars Season 2, Episode 5

Last time we saw Ian (Ryan Merriman) he was hanging from a bell tower with a rope around his neck. Good times. Now he’s either rotting in “A”’s lair, or he’s camping out in the backwoods of Rosewood. Only time will tell.

Check out these five spoilers from Pretty Little Liars Season 2, Episode 5, "The Devil You Know," airing on July 12, 2011, to see if we’ll finally get some closure about Spencer (Troian Bellisario)’s evil brother-in-law.

1. There’s “shocking news” about Ian. The girls find out something about Ian’s whereabouts that lets them breath a much-needed sigh of relief, but does that necessarily mean he’s dead?

2. Spencer’s parents are supportive for once. With the mysterious news about Ian spreading around Rosewood, Spencer relies on her parents’ support to help her cope. Considering that this girl’s entire family currently think she’s a crazy biatch, something must happen to change their minds... Something like Ian’s death, perhaps?

3. Emily is obsessed with solving mysteries. While everyone else chillaxes, Emily (Shay Mitchell) tries to dig up evidence that she may have overlooked. It’s like she's trying to get pushed over by a hooded figure and left for dead.

4. Ezria go public. Now that Ezra (Ian Harding) is teaching at Hollis, he and Aria (Lucy Hale) can finally go public with their relationship — but they struggle with being open. It’s just so hard to make out with your former English teacher in the town square. Almost as hard as being stalked by your “dead” best friend. Sigh, the plight of the modern day teenager.

5. Caleb’s foster mom rolls into town. Hanna (Ashley Benson) learns more about Caleb (Tyler Blackburn)’s mysterious life when his sketchy foster mom shows up. Could she be “A”? At this point, we suspect anyone who has access to a cell phone.
