Is Star-Crossed on Tonight?

Get ready to thank your lucky stars. Tonight — Monday, February 24, 2014 — there is, in fact, an all-new episode of the CW’s new sci-fi romance Star-Crossed. After having it's series premiere last week, the show is back tonight for Episode 2: “These Violent Delights Have Violent Ends.” It’s airing Monday nights at 8 p.m. on the CW... so plan your social schedule accordingly.

For a sneak peek at what to expect, take a look at the promo. Then check out the synopsis for a more detail explanation of what's about to go down... including a funeral, an attempted kidnapping, teenage angst, and a threat on the life of more than one beloved character.

Star-Crossed tells the story of a human girl and an alien boy who fall in love, despite the fact that their races can’t stand each other. It’s the ultimate tale of star-crossed lovers (a la Romeo and Juliet, or you know... Roswell), but don’t expect this new show to be just that.

Wetpaint Entertainment recently spoke exclusively with Titus Makin, Jr., who plays the human best friend of leading lady Emery’s (Aimee Teegarden), and he promised that the show is about much more than just forbidden love. There’s action, sci-fi battles... with more than a bit of social and political commentary, too.

We’ve already come up with five reasons you HAVE to be watching this show — and, surprisingly, #1-5 are not just MATT LANTER’S BEAUTIFUL FACE — though the chance to stare deeply in his eyes for an hour should be motivation enough.

But yes: Today is the day. The countdown is on. Matt Lanter, Julie from Friday Night Lights and a former Glee Warbler are coming to your TV screen in 5... 4.... 3... 2...

Star-Crossed airs Mondays at 8 p.m./7c on The CW.
