Is Tamar Braxton Being Sued For Stealing Music?

This is definitely not the bomb dot com, guys! TMZ is reporting that Braxton Family Values star Tamar Braxton is being sued by a songwriter claiming that Tay-Tay stole one of her songs for her award-winning, Grammy-nominated album, Love & War.

According to a new lawsuit, Emmi Kozulin claims that she co-wrote the track, “One on One Fun,” with Angela Hunte, and then Emmi recorded a version of the song on her own. Now, Emmi is saying that her writing partner Angela passed the song along to Tamar for her sophomore album, admitting that Angela had the right to license the lyrics. However, Emmi claims that Tamar basically sang the song the exact same way as she did, and that was a little over-the-top dot org.

As a co-writer, Emmie said that she’s entitled to 50 percent of the royalties made, plus applicable damages. So how’s Tay taking it?

Well, one of the Maryland native’s reps says that the lawsuit has “nothing to do with Tamar,” and that the fighting is to be between the writer and the producer.

That was a pretty close call! We’re pretty relieved that this situation may not affect Tamar that much (if at all), seeing as she is currently on her first national solo tour. Who needs a pesky lawsuit on their back when singing their face off? Not her!

What do you think of the songwriter’s lawsuit over Tamar’s song, “One on One Fun”? Sound off in the comments below!
