Is The Vampire Diaries Airing on Thanksgiving 2013?

We have a long list of things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, including Ian Somerhalder’s blue eyes, Nina Dobrev’s ability to play a seemingly endless amount of characters on a single show, and well... Ian Somerhalder’s blue eyes. (Come on, you know they’re worth noting twice.)

Unfortunately, if watching The Vampire Diaries with your family is a beloved bonding experience, you’ll have to give thanks while watching something else. Instead of airing a new episode this Thanksgiving (November 28), the CW will run You Again, a comedy starring Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Betty White. (Sorry, guys. You don’t even get a rerun!)

That said, if you’re a fan of The Originals, you won’t be disappointed! The TVD spin-off will be back with an all-new episode on Tuesday, November 26 entitled, “The River in Reverse.” Read the official synopsis below!

The Originals
Season 1, Episode 8: “The River in Reverse”

Rebekah, facing a difficult decision, turns to Father Kieran (guest star Todd Stashwick) for guidance. Elijah struggles with the consequences of a recent fallout with Klaus. Hayley remains by his side but is soon drawn away by a mysterious figure who sheds some light on her past. Meanwhile, a frustrated Cami struggles to make sense of a cryptic message she’s come across. Finally, when an unsuspecting Marcel uncovers some upsetting information involving Klaus, a confrontation ends in a surprising twist.

Air Date: Tuesday, November 26 at 8 p.m. on The CW!
