Jacqueline Laurita Compares RHONJ Season 5 to Superstorm Sandy

Season 5 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is definitely one for the record books. The year began with the devastation that Hurricane Sandy left behind on the Jersey shore and ended with reconstruction and recovery. In her final blog following the Reunion, Jacqueline Laurita talks about the parallel between her Housewives family and the infamous storm.

"I see similarities between the effect Superstorm Sandy had on the Jersey Shore and the effect this season had on our RHONJ cast," she wrote, adding, "The work to put things back to together seems overwhelming and unattainable at the time … Slowly but surely, you start making and seeing the progress and you start believing things can get better."

In both cases, Jacqueline pointed out that the end goal wasn't easy.

"There may be setbacks along your journey that might discourage you temporarily, but if you keep persevering, you will get to a better place and there will be peace, love, and happiness surrounding you again. Just like the Jersey shore, just like the Gorgas, Giudices, Wakiles, Manzos, and the Lauritas," she concluded.
