Jake Pavelka Thanks Fans For Support After Gia Allemand’s Death

Bachelor Nation has not always been kind to Jake Pavelka, but when his good friend and two-time castmate Gia Allemand took her own life in mid August, fans rallied to support the devastated former Bachelor.

Jake tweeted his gratitude on August 27, “Gia's death has rocked my world. Those that have tweeted condolences. Thank u! I've read EVERY 1 of them. Love you guys! U hv bn my rock!”

It’s good to see so many fans sharing positive thoughts after this tragedy — especially since Gia was known for being such a sweet person who always supported the underdog. She’d probably appreciate all the love her ex is getting now.

Still, it’s hard to forget how different things could’ve been for both the Season 14 Bachelor and his Bachelor Pad Season 2 buddy. Gia made it to third place on Jake’s season, but he later said he would’ve picked her if he could do The Bachelor over again. They supported each other on BP2, and left the franchise as close friends.

When the news broke that her family had taken her off life support and she had passed away, Jake tweeted, “I had to pull over, I can't stop crying. We have lost an angel.”
