James Franco and Seth Rogen Spoof Kimye’s Vogue Cover — Better Than Original?
Annie Leibovitz for Vogue
James Franco and Seth Rogen may be a little too obsessed with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
They previously released a spoof of Kanye's "Bound 2" — with Seth as the topless Kim — and now the old Freaks and Geeks buddies are back with a spoof of the couple's new Vogue cover.
James shared the Photoshopped pic on Facebook on March 21, writing, "Seth! Love you, dog!"
The pic has been "liked" more than 418,000 times, with more than 12,000 comments. Many fans seem to prefer this shot to the original — saying this is the cover they would buy.
Taking a less playful stand was actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, who tweeted, "Well......I guess I'm canceling my Vogue subscription. Who is with me???"
So far her tweet has 8,200 "favorites" and "6,226" retweets,” although some fans defended Kimye and returned the hate to Sarah.
Of course, all of the spoofs and disses just work as free publicity for Kimye's issue, and plenty of people who probably never cared about the cover of Vogue in their lives suddenly have an opinion.
Kim, Kanye and Anna Wintour are probably just fine with that.
What do you think? Is the Seth/James cover a thousand times better than the Kim/Kanye cover or do you love the real issue just as it is?
