James Van Der Beek is about to become a proud papa for the third time — he and his wife, Kimberly, have a third child on the way!
Kimberly announced the happy news today, August 30, on her blog, Old School New Rules, saying, "James and I are happy to report that we are expecting our third child this winter!"
The 36-year-old actor is best known as the titular character in the immortal '90s teen soap Dawson's Creek but also parodied himself in the recent ABC comedy Don't Trust the B— in Apt. 23. He's set to return to the sitcom realm this TV season in CBS's Friends With Better Lives.
He and Kimberly, his second wife, married in 2010 in Tel Aviv. They have two children already: 2-year-old Olivia and 17-month-old Joshua.
"All of the craziness, exhaustion and moodiness aside, James and I are beyond excited and feeling so incredibly blessed," Kimberly writes. "Olivia and Joshua are in on the news and seem to be excited about a baby coming into the family. And James, thank you for being the loving, caring and understanding husband and father that you are."
Since Katie Holmes has 7-year-old daughter Suri and Michelle Williams has 7-year-old Matilda, Joshua Jackson is the only member of the original Dawson's Creek quartet to not be a parent yet. (But Josh has been with girlfriend Diane Kruger for seven years, so that day could come soon!)
Congrats to James and Kim on their burgeoning family!
