Glee star Jane Lynch (Sue) has kept herself busy during the FOX show’s hiatus by expertly hosting Hollywood Game Night over on NBC, but she’s already looking ahead to Glee’s sixth and final season, which is expected to start shooting next month.
E! News caught up with Jane and asked how she feels Glee Season 6 won’t start airing until early 2015, not in the fall as it has done in years past. Jane didn’t address the midseason delay directly, but she did hint that starting production on Season 6 in the coming weeks will be very tough. “It's going to be sad to start the mourning process, but I think we're going right back into work,” she said.
Given the fact that we don’t even know where Glee will be taking place next season, we have no idea how Sue will fit into the mix, although Lea Michele (Rachel) recently revealed she knows what’s in store for the former Cheerios coach.
Like us, however, Jane admitted to being in the dark about her character’s Season 6 arc. Whether or not we believe her is another story, but the 53-year-old also revealed she doesn’t even have an ending in mind for her iconic character. “No, I would love to see what they have,” she dished with a laugh.
We’re still bummed we won’t be getting any new Glee until 2015, but if you catch Hollywood Game Night this Thursday, June 5, at 8 p.m. ET you can see Jane and Darren Criss (Blaine) in action!
Be sure to tell us if you plan to watch in the comments below. Laura Prepon, Natasha Lyonne, and Jason Biggs from Orange Is the New Black will also be playing, so we highly recommend you check it out.
Glee Season 6 is expected to debut in 2015.
