New Mom Janet Jackson Lost 70 Lbs Without Cardio And We’re Inspired AF

Janet Jackson is definitely ready for her potential Super Bowl halftime comeback!

The pop star has lost about 70 lbs since the birth of her son, Eissa, almost a year ago, and girl looks better than ever.

The kicker? She shed the weight without doing any cardio — which makes the whole thing that much more inspiring.

The "Rhythm Nation" singer gave birth to her first child, son Eissa, in January of 2017 with then-husband Wassam Al Mana.

Shortly after the baby's birth, the couple announced their separation.

As a result of having a baby and going through a breakup almost simultaneously, Janet at first had trouble getting back into shape, but that's certainly no longer the case.

Her trainer, Paulette Sybliss, reveals exactly how the 51-year-old lost about 70 lbs in eight months.

"I started training her about six weeks after she had Eissa so about March we started. We had a very vigorous training schedule," Paulette tells E! News.

"We were training a minimum of four times a week and the sessions were never less than 45 minutes, no more than an hour. Very intense, though. Very intense training."

Paulette claims the pop star "looks smaller in person than in pictures," and that it's all thanks to strength training, not traditional cardio workouts.

"We were doing three or four exercises with weights back to back. What that does—you would look at her and think she'd done like an hour of cardio with me—but when you're working with weights and you're working the muscle that way, it elevates the heart rate, but also it's creating that fat burning affect both during the session and also when she left me, and that was key," she says.

Paulette says she developed this program with Janet not so she could lose weight, but so she could "keep her fit and healthy to complete the tour."

Janet's State of the World tour concludes in the United States next month.

And there's more good news — the mom of one is still allowed to indulge in her favorite treats once in a while.

"Everything in moderation," the trainer continues.

"I don't set her a cheat day at all, If Janet feels that she needs to have a chocolate cake, go ahead and have a chocolate cake. You're not eating it every day. You won't get fat overnight!"

You heard it here first, folks!

And once the Grammy winner wraps her tour, she could potentially be gearing up for her Super Bowl halftime comeback.

There are rumors she'll perform with headliner Justin Timberlake so they can get a redo on their 2004 "nipplegate" saga.
