Season 2 of Vanderpump Rules has started to show us a different side of Jax Taylor. After cheating on ex-girlfriend Stassi Schroeder back in Season 1 and coming clean, the SUR bartender is doing everything he can to make peace with his ex — including getting her name tattooed on his arm.
But last Monday on Watch What Happens Live, the two former lovebirds joined Bravo’s Andy Cohen for what could go down as the most awkward 30 minutes of live television ever. In an exclusive interview, Jax spoke to Wetpaint Entertainment about the crazy episode.
“It was absolute torture,” Jax said. “I don’t know where it came from, to be honest. I really have no words, I’m still in shock. I tried to make light of the situation. I tried to crack jokes here and there. I tried to be funny. But she had her back to me the whole time and, as you can see, she didn’t look at me once.”
Given how icy things were between the two, it’s obvious that things go down later this season that change everything. But, according to Jax, he’s sticking by the tattoo and says he knows they can work through whatever went down.
“This is what Stassi does. She goes through phases. She’ll be like this for a little while — she’s just up and down,” Jax said. “I’m just leaving her alone for a little while, she’s doing her thing, this is how her and I work. We go through good weeks and bad weeks, it’s just who we are.” Awww, we’re rooting for these guys to work out whatever beef they have right now.
“I don’t regret it,” Jax continued. “She’s a huge part of my life, she’s always been a huge part of my life.”
What do you think? Can Stassi and Jax work through their problems and have a second shot at love? Should Jax get rid of the tattoo? Hit the comments and let us know!
Vanderpump Rules airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
