In a romantic tale that should go down in history, Emily Maynard’s Bachelorette Season 8 led to one of the most loving relationships ever to come out of Bachelor Nation. We’re obviously not talking about her coupling with Jef Holm, which ended three months after her finale aired. But Jef and runner-up Arie Luyendyk, Jr.’s bromance has certainly been an inspiration. And now, a source tells Wetpaint Entertainment exclusively, it’s likely over.
So, what happened? Well, both guys were at Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici’s January 26 wedding, which was televised for ABC and featured a ton of Bachelor Nation alumni. According to our source, it was all well and good during the ceremony and the reception. The trouble started at a friend’s after party.
“One moment everything was fine, and then they started yelling at each other,” the source reports. “Arie was clearly pissed at Jef about something, and it got ugly fast. I think it’s over between them.”
We’re worried, especially since the boys are no longer following one another on Twitter or Instagram. How extreme of a message is that? Well, considering Jef is following Emily Maynard on Twitter, despite their extreme falling out, as well as Katianna Bear — the girl he dated after Emily — and Arie follows both Courtney Robertson and Selma Alameri, both of whom he dated in the last couple years… we’d say it’s pretty extreme.
Considering that the two are supposed to co-host the KIIS FM “Bachelorette Party” on February 22 at the Morongo Casino Resort, we’re wondering how they’ll handle seeing one another. Besides Arie and Jef, Kiptyn Locke, Zack Kalter, Robert Graham, Drew Kenney, Brooks Forester, and Graham Bunn will also be hosting the $500/person event, so perhaps they’ll be able to run interference… Or, you know, take pictures if another Bachelor Nation reunion doesn’t result in a lovefest.
