Jenelle Evans is going to be a free woman in T-minus just a few more days! Wetpaint Entertainment exclusively learned that this Teen Mom 2 star filed divorce papers against her estranged husband, Courtland Rogers, on Friday, May 2, 2014, and it looks like Courtland Rogers has officially been served.
Jenelle's lawyer, Dustin Sullivan, tells Wetpaint that "the papers filed included a complaint for divorce and a request for her to resume her maiden name of Evans," and it looks like Courty was more than happy to get them.
"So I just got the divorce papers…" Courtland tweeted on May 8. "I thanked the cop like 50 times lol..."
Courtland is ready to make his marriage to Jenelle a thing of the past (he even got his tattoo of her name removed!), and Jenelle's right there with him. "YES, and u sir.. Have been served!" she tweeted. "Never been so f—king happy in my life!"
Now that Courtland has been served, Dustin tells us that he has "30 days to respond." If he doesn't do so (and we think he will judging from his enthusiasm), Dustin says that "the court will most likely grant our request for Ms. Evans to be divorced from Mr. Rogers."
Hallelujah! Now Jenelle can finally get hitched to her newest baby daddy, MMA fighter Nathan Griffith, who she's expecting a child with at the end of June.
Are you happy for Jenelle? This divorce has been a long time coming, so take it to the comments and tell us what you think!
