Jenelle Evans’s Ex Courtland Rogers Says He’s Sober: “I’m Healthy and My Life Makes Sense”
Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans and her estranged husband, Courtland Rogers, have both struggled with heroin addiction, but thankfully these former lovebirds are currently sober. However, a video recently surfaced of Courty filming himself using the dangerous drug, and suffice it to say fans are alarmed. The disturbing clip was meant to highlight awareness in the wake of Philip Seymour Hoffman's death, but Courtland has received a fair amount of criticism for airing his addiction so publicly.
This dude took it to Twitter to defend himself, and confirmed that the footage was from back in October 2013.
"In the end all that matters is what I do today..right now..Not yesterday and damn sure not last October..I'm proud as f— at myself now," he tweeted, adding, "I know my self worth and so do the ones that count in my life!! So all of u catfish'n people can get back to your boring lives now lmao."
Courty seems slightly defensive about his past, but he did take a moment to thank his supporters and triple-confirm that he's sober. "I am done talking about that s— !!!" he tweeted. "Yes I'm a addict no I'm not in a current active addiction I am healthy and my life makes sense now!!!!"
Courtland had a chance to sober up while incarcerated for violating his probation, and he's currently living in North Carolina with his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Jenelle and Courtland have agreed to a "truce" in their relationship, despite the fact that they have a sordid history of domestic violence and drug abuse.
Are you surprised that Courtland agreed to share such a disturbing video with fans? Weigh in below.
