Teen Mom 2’s resident bad girl, Jenelle Evans, was called into court today to face felony possession charges. On April 23, Jenelle and husband, Courtland Rogers, were booked for heroin possession and simple assault, among numerous other charges.
If convicted, Jenelle and Courtland can face some serious jail time for the 12 bindles of heroin they found in her car “with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver.” However, Jenelle’s attorney, Dustin Sullivan, believes things will work out for the reality TV star.
“I would simply remind your readers that our system of justice requires that everyone accused of a crime is innocent until proven guilty,” Dustin exclusively told Wetpaint Entertainment, adding that he was confident the “truth will come out.”
Well, Dustin, Jenelle has already given us her side of the story. In a series of tweets, Jenelle explained that she and Courty got into a fight over him stealing her prescribed Percocet — the same drug the couple received possession of a controlled substance for. When the fight became violent, Jenelle rushed outside to get air. We’re unsure whether or not this was before or after Jenelle called her mom, Barbara Evans. Either way, Babs called the cops who found then found the couple in the car. This is when Jenelle alleges that Courtland dropped the heroin under her seat. As Jenelle didn’t want to rat Courtland out (for whatever reason) the couple were both booked for possession.
At least this is the story Jenelle told us. Let’s see if she said the same thing in court. Jenelle has yet to hit up Twitter and discuss anything that has happened today, so we’re hoping all went well!
