Jenelle Evans Gets Misdemeanor Charges Dropped… Again! — Exclusive

Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans returned to the Brunswick County Courthouse on July 25 to face two separate misdemeanor charges — cyberstalking (filed against her by ex-fiancé Gary Head) and simple assault stemming from her April 23 arrest with estranged husband Courtland Rogers. So did Jenelle manage to get off the hook again? Silly question, people. Homegirl's got the best legal representation in all of North Carolina, the courtroom conqueror commonly known as Dustin R.T. Sullivan!

"The cyberstalking was dismissed," Dustin confirmed exclusively to Wetpaint Entertainment. "The simple assault case was continued to August 12, 2013 which is the same day as her drug charges."

And by drug charges, Dusty (is it cool if we call you that?) is obviously referring to the felony heroin charges that resulted from that same April 23 incident. Jenelle and Courtland were both taken into custody when police found 12 bindles of the illegal drug in Jenelle's car, and they were both charged with possession with the intent to sell, manufacture, and/or distribute. Yeah, not good.

But before you start making "Free Jenelle" t-shirts and boycotting chicken Alfredo, you should know that our girl's got an airtight defense that pins the blame entirely on Courty B. And Dustin anticipates that she'll get off scot-free yet again.

"I anticipate and am very confident that will be the absolute final court date for Jenelle. The felonies are still pending but I hope to resolve her case in a manner that does not include any felony conviction," he said.

While things are looking for good for Jenelle, the law hasn't been so loving to her former partner in crime, Courtland Rogers, who's been sitting in the slammer since their double arrest.

"I have not confirmed but heard that he entered into a plea for the felony possession of heroin and assault on a female and received a split sentence which includes receiving credit for all the time he has served in jail awaiting plea and continuing on with probation," Dustin explained. "I believe he has a felony probation violation tomorrow that he must deal with still."

Stay tuned to Wetpaint Entertainment as Jenelle's ongoing legal saga continues and share your thoughts below — is the Teen Mom 2 star getting off too easy? You be the judge.
