Was Jenelle Evans’s Boyfriend Nathan Obligated to Apologize to Barbara Evans?

Jenelle Evans's new boyfriend Nathan Griffith may seem like a patron saint, but this newbie reality star does have his flaws. We watched in horror during last week's episode of Teen Mom 2 as Nathan went head-to-head with Jenelle's mom Barbara, even blaming the matriarch for his girlfriend's heroin addiction. Dude straight-up exploded at poor Babs! But Nathan took the high road during last night's ep and apologized for his behavior — something the majority of viewers thought he was obligated to do.

When Wetpaint teamed up with Viggle during the episode, 88 percent of Viggle LIVE! players said he did the right thing. Meanwhile, 12 percent didn't think the part-time underwear model needed to apologize because he didn't do anything wrong.

"I am very sorry. I hope you see the genuine-ality of me. I'm a good guy," Nathan told Barbara.

So was Babs able to forgive and forget? Kinda, sorta…

"You know what, I accept your apology but I'm very upset about it because I've done nothing but dedicate my life to my children," she said. "And for you to say that I'm a bad mother is wrong."

Sounds like Nathan will have to work extra hard to regain Barbara's trust, which is more important than ever considering Jenelle's about to pop out his baby. Plus, once Jenelle and her estranged husband Courtland Rogers are officially divorced, she may take another walk down the aisle (by which we mean the mall food court). Will Babs accept Nathan as a member of the family? Only time will tell, but we think his heartfelt apology was a step in the right direction.

What do you guys think of Nathan's apology? Was it sincere? Tell us below!
