Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith Re-Home Their Dog in Ohio — Find Out Why!

You may have noticed that Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith are currently riding around Ohio atop a couple horses, but it turns out their trip to the midwest is two-fold. Sure, Jenelle and Nathan are there to visit family, but they also decided to re-home their dog, Mugen.

You might remember this sweet little fella as being the pup that Jenelle infamously yelled at during a recent episode of Teen Mom 2. In fact, Jenelle's behavior towards Mugen caused PETA to ask her to find a more suitable owner for the pup, and it looks like Jenelle took their advice!

According to Teen Mom Truth, Mugen's stay in Ohio is only temporary. He'll return to Jenelle and Nathan as soon as they buy a house that has land with a fenced-in backyard for the dogs to wander around freely.

We can't forget that this news comes hot off the heels of Mugen's theft by two crazed Teen Mom 2 haters, who claim they found him tied up outside. Sigh, this poor critter has been through so much!

Fortunately, Mugen is thrilled to be in Ohio — though Nathan will definitely miss him. "I miss Mugen but I know he'll be good up there," Nathan tweeted. "Even though he thinks he's an Austrian Shepard [sic]."

Nathan says that Mugen's "wolf side went crazy" upon seeing horses, and he even tried to bite one! "He jumped on top of Raven then decided to walk around the back and BITE her BACK leg," Nathan explained. "Poor dog thought he had dinner until the shoe came."

Praying for you, Mugs. Hopefully, Jenelle and Nathan's four-legged friend will be slightly more careful for the rest of his stay in the great state of Ohio.

We can't wait for him to be reunited with his parents once they buy a new house!
