Teen Mom 2's Jenelle Evans is currently about four months pregnant (congrats, girl!) with boyfriend Nathan Griffith's baby — but don’t worry, that's not the same pregnancy she terminated during tonight's Season 5 premiere on Teen Mom 2. The timeline of events is a bit confusing — considering the footage in the episode was filmed over six months ago — so we've done a little investigative journalism to help you out.
Jenelle's abortion likely occurred in early June 2013 and the baby daddy is none other than estranged husband Courtland Rogers. Here's how we figured it out:
When the trailer hit the web a few weeks ago, we immediately ruled out her January 2013 pregnancy, which ended in a tragic miscarriage — so we're thinking Courtland must have gotten her pregnant yet again sometime after they temporarily got back together in late March. Unfortunately, things went downhill the following month when both Jenelle and Courtland were arrested for heroin possession (among other charges) on April 23, and as far as we know they haven't spoken since.
Still following? Good. Now let's fast forward to late May, when we published an article entitled "Gary Head Claims Jenelle Evans Is Pregnant and Planning an Abortion!" After Jenelle and Courtland broke up, the reality star rekindled her friendship with ex-fiancé Gary Head, though that reconciliation was short lived. It wasn't long before Gary was airing Jenelle's dirty laundry all over the Internet…
"You told me you were going to get an abortion. Don't play me for stupid. I'll leak all your secrets might wanna #keepHush," he tweeted on May 26. The post was deleted shortly after but screen grabs were posted online.
Even more telling were some direct messages that somehow got published. "If your [sic] pregnant you shouldnt [sic] be drinking," Gary wrote to Jenelle, to which she responded, "Not talking about this online."
At the time we thought it was possible that Gary Head was the father of the baby Jenelle aborted, we've since learned otherwise. Courtland confirmed to RadarOnline.com that he knew about Jenelle's pregnancy (he found while he was in jail), but he didn't know she decided to terminate it.
As for the timeframe, another report from RadarOnline.com corroborates our theory, as a source dished that Jenelle's abortion took place in the early summer right after she met Nathan in person on June 3. And what do ya know? Jenelle is wearing the same shirt in this Twitter picture from June 5 as in the premiere episode when she says, "I decided I'm going to have an abortion."
Investigative journalism, people.
