Memorial Day has come and gone, and we're officially in a food-coma thanks to one too many hot dogs. It's always great to binge eat our way through a three day weekend, but Memorial Day is a particularly emotional public holiday for many Americans who have lost beloved servicemen and women in the armed forces. Naturally, this is an issue that's close to the hearts of MTV's Teen Moms, many of whom have husbands, boyfriends, and baby daddies in service.

Most of these ladies took to Twitter for some Memorial Day musings, but unfortunately Jenelle Evans's emotional tweet was met with some misdirected hate. "Just something to think about," she tweeted on May 26. "I might have my best friend here with me now.. But some of these people don't due to the war. #ImSorry."

Jenelle's referring to her baby daddy, Nathan Griffith (who served in the Marines from 2006 to 2010), and as far as we're concerned, her tweet is pretty sweet and sincere. However, some fans took to Twitter to vent, saying that Nathan doesn't deserve to be honored, and that Jenelle is being self-centered.

Hm, we're not sure how Jenelle's thoughtful tweet was self-centered (she seemed pretty genuine to us!), but girlfriend defended herself by saying, "Hate on me for saying remember those who lost their lives on Memorial Day? Holy s—t all of u live very sad lives. Get over yourself."

Not gonna lie, we're Team Jenelle on this one. This gal was simply trying to honor servicemen on Memorial Day — her own baby daddy included!
