Jersey Shore veteran Jenni “JWOWW” Farley and fiancé Roger Mathews had a bit of a scare, and it had to do with her unborn daughter. After a routine visit to her OB/GYN, JWOWW, who is currently six-months pregnant, received a phone call explaining that doctors spotted a small cyst on her baby’s brain. Safe to say JWOWW — like any mother would — went into full-on panic mode.
“I honestly can’t tell you what he’s saying because I go numb and tears are just flowing. I can’t even begin to try and stop the tears,” JWOWW wrote on her blog. “The second I get off the phone, I hysterically call Roger. I don’t think he even understood one thing I said. Literally hysterical to the point where I was hyperventilating thinking, ‘OMG I did something so horrible to my daughter?’”
Doctors suggested JWOWW see a specialist for a second opinion, and luckily, the mommy-to-be got an appointment the very next day and was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.
“This happens to about 1 to 2 percent of pregnancies,” JWOWW explains. “It’s called choroid plexus cyst and over time the cyst should go away. Honestly I was happy but still my heart felt heavy.” Understandably so! No one wants to hear that something could potentially be wrong with their child.
The engaged couple also learned that JWOWW had a low-lying placenta, and should take it easy — and by “take it easy” doctors mean no bedroom antics. That is, until JWOWW’s next visit where they confirmed she’s OK to get back in the swing of things. “Don’t tell Roger,” she joked online.
