The Hunger Games: Jennifer Lawrence and Cast Resume Filming Mockingjay After Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Death (PHOTO)
The filming of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay barrelled on in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 4 — only two days after Philip Seymour Hoffman, who played Plutarch Heavensbee in Catching Fire, died of a drug overdose in New York City.
As you can see in these photos, other stars of the franchise — Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Julianne Moore — appeared to be somber. Our girl Jennifer looks especially sad, as you can see in the photo on E! Online.
Philip was even supposed to appear in the scene shot that day, E! Online notes — a sad fact that must have made the production that day even more difficult for the actors.
The site also reports that Philip's part in Mockingjay - Part 1 was "substantially complete" and that he had seven days of filming left for Part 2.
"Words cannot convey the devastating loss we all are feeling right now," reads a statement released by Jennifer, director Francis Lawrence, author Suzanne Collins, and producers Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik.
