In The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the tributes are single-mindedly focused on staying alive while diving into the watery arena. But the actors playing them in the forthcoming film adaptation had another concern in mind: making sure their Trinkets and their Abernathys weren't too visible in their wetsuits, if you catch our drift.
As Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mallark), and other cast members from Catching Fire tell E! Online, they considered certain precautions to make sure their wardrobe was ever in their favor.
"Honestly, I was expecting [the wardrobe] to be horrible because the idea of being in a wetsuit for a whole movie sounds terrifying," Josh tells the site. "But they actually were pretty comfortable once we found out you can actually pee through them — just go into the ocean and take care of your business."
"I was surprised at how little camel toe problem there was," adds Jennifer. "I was expecting a lot more."
So J.Law didn't need to worry about any wardrobe malfunction, but what about the gents? How did they fare in the, ahem, Battle of the Bulge?
Josh reveals that they tried wearing cups before deeming them "ridiculous." And Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair) chimes in to say that they were asked to wear thongs so that "there was no VPL" — but finally found the right undergarment in cycling shorts.
As Jena Malone (Johanna Mason) dishes, however, one guy didn't bother wearing anything under his wetsuit: the esteemed Jeffrey Wright (Beetee). Sounds like a true victor to us!
Would you have dared wearing a wetsuit for a movie that would be played on enormous IMAX screens? Give us your take below!
