Jennifer Lopez Goes Vegan — What Food Does She Miss Most? (VIDEO)
Jennifer Lopez, American Idol judge and 44-year-old tour de force, already has the body of a 21-year-old model who’s never touched fried food, let alone brought a pair of tiny humans into this world, yet she still wants to work on her appearance. OK, overachiever, we’ll just keep dipping this glazed doughnut into our hot cocoa and chase it down with some licorice whips while you go do squats for the both of us. Cool? Cool.
So how does Jenny From the Block plan on going from being in amazingly spectacular Greek goddess shape to having a backside made of titanium? Girlfriend is going vegan, eschewing all animal products from her already clean eats diet. The pop icon told New York radio station Z100 that altering her daily food intake to mostly plant based makes her “feel great” and that she would “recommend the vegan diet because you wake up and feel great!”
J.Lo is the latest celeb to try out the animal friendly diet, following in the footsteps of Jay Z and Beyonce who went vegan for 22 days last year. Jennifer did dabble in vegetarianism briefly a few years ago, but has decided to make her lifestyle change more permanent this time around. No word yet on whether 6-year-old twins Max and Emme will be sharing in their mama’s meatless meals.
While the Idol host seems pretty happy with her decision to go meat free, there is one food she claims she’ll weep for, craving it from here to eternity: butter. We would have said lobster tail or prime rib, but hey, to each their own. Good luck, J.Lo. We can’t imagine you getting any hotter, but we can’t wait to see the results when you do.
