UPDATE:Jennifer Lopez's boo Casper Smart seems to have spilled the beans about his main squeeze returning to American Idol. When asked by E! News whether or not J. Lo was coming back, he answered "yes" apparently not knowing Fox has yet to make the announcement (and still hasn't commented, by the way). Oops!
How much will J. Lo be making this time? Most details on her contract are pretty sketchy at this point, but Deadline says she could pull in a paycheck somewhere around what she most recently made on the show, which was a whopping $15 million.
This is good news for Jennifer, though, because Idol has always been good news for her. Back in 2010 when she was offered a spot on the show, it helped her revive her career out of a slight lull, and since appearing as a judge, she has bolted back to the top of the Top 40 stations and is now working on an ABC Family show, The Fosters. Her return should help Idol fill the diva role that was first vacant when Simon Cowell left, Jennifer filled it, Mariah Carey tried to fill it last year, and now Jennifer will return.
What do you think? Are you upset about Jennifer's return to American Idol or is this a good thing for the show? Hit the comments and get out all your feels!
