Where does Jennifer Lopez find the time to remain one of music’s reigning pop divas? Between dropping her eighth (!!!) studio album, judging on American Idol, and raising her two children, we just don’t know how she finds time to sleep let alone do anything else!
Somehow or other, though, the 44-year-old singer put pen to paper (or hired a very competent ghostwriter) for her latest project. Titled True Love, J.Lo’s first book will publish in both English and Spanish on October 28.
Don’t let the title deceive you, though. This is no sappy romance novel with Fabio on the paperback cover. Jennifer says she spills all the details of her mega-career and high-profile love affairs including her marriage to Marc Anthony.
“What’s funny is, I didn’t start off the project wanting to bare my soul in print,” the first-time author tells People. “It started off as a diary of the year I went on tour … and when I was on the road, it became something else. I really surprised myself, and I realized, ‘Oh my god, I’m writing this book.’”
Jenny from the Block says she’s had second thoughts about seeing True Love publish. “Even to this day, I think, ‘Do I put this book out there?’” she says. “I did a lot of soul searching and praying because I don’t want it to be mistaken for anything other than it was, which is sharing something I learned with people I could help.”
Color us intrigued. October 28, you can’t get here fast enough!
