How do you say “fist pump” in Spanish? Better get ready, kids, because there’s a whole new set of guidos and guidettes gearing up to grace TV sets — and these ones come from somewhere a little more south of the border than Seaside Heights, New Jersey. MTV Latin America has just announced that they will launch the Mexican version of Jersey Shore.

The network has just ordered 13 episodes of the reality series set in the Central American country — and we are having so much fun imagining all of those quotable Jersey Shore bon mots — grenades, gorillas, meatball — translated into Spanish. Okay, they probably won’t use those exact phrases, but whatever the Mexican equivalents are.

This is actually MTV’s third international version of Jersey Shore. The company had a breakout hit with the U.K.’s Geordie Shore (guidos with Brit accents!) which had strong ratings throughout its seven seasons. And it’s also not its first Spanish-language version: MTV Spain has Gandia Shore, which premiered in October 2012 to nearly a million viewers. There’s currently a second season in production.

And we won’t have to wait for long for this one. Jersey Shore’s Mexican entry will debut in Latin America this March!
