Update (July 28, 2014):
It has been just over a month since Mike got arrested for a brawl at the family tanning salon, and now he’s reached a plea deal, reports TMZ. Mike’s got to take 12 weeks of anger management; if he does that, the judge says the assault charge will be reduced to the petty crime of disorderly conduct.
Original story (June 17, 2014):
Those Jersey Shore guys sure love their tanning, and will fight for it, apparently. Mike “Situation” Sorrentino was arrested on Tuesday, June 17 after a brawl broke out in his family-owned tanning salon.
According to TMZ, cops received a 911 call reporting a “fist fight” between two people inside the Boca Tanning Salon in Middletown, New Jersey. When officers arrived, Mikey was arrested and hauled off to the clink. Sources at the salon tell TMZ that the fight was between The Situation and his brother, Frank, but not much else is known about how or why the two bros got into it. TMZ sources indicate Mike is still being held in custody and getting booked.
This isn’t the first time the cops have had trouble at this family-owned business. It turns out just last week, police were called down to the salon when employees complained that all their checks bounced!
When four employees complained about the bad checks, cops came to the salon and told Frank that criminal charges would be filed. Almost immediately, employees were given their full paychecks, with sources close to the family citing it as a small hiccup caused by the business switching payroll companies.
Maybe The Situation punch his bro because he wasn’t getting paid?! Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
