If Buckwild returns for Season 2, it will sadly be missing fan favorite Shain Gandee.

According to TMZ, The 21-year-old MTV star was found dead in a vehicle in Sissonville, West Virginia this morning along with two other bodies.

He was last heard from at 3 a.m. ET on Sunday morning after he and his uncle David Gandee, 48, told people they were going off-roading. Shain's body was found 31 hours after reported missing, and MTV confirms the identity of second body inside the vehicle as David. A local news station reports the third body has been identified as Shain's family friend Robert Myers. He was 27.

TMZ has reported that Shain and the two other deceased passengers may have died from carbon monoxide poisoning. However, this has yet to be officially confirmed. According to local authorities, the bodies have yet to be removed from the truck because of the vehicle's location, which was found in a ravine.

MTV, the network behind Buckwild, has released an official statement, saying, "We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends."

The statememnt continues: "Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly."

While the show has not been officially canceled yet, Deadline reports that production of the show has halted, effective immediately. Only time will tell if Season 2 will air, and if so, whether Shain's scenes will be cut.

This story is still in development and will be updated as new information comes in.

Our thoughts go out to Shain's family and friends at this difficult time.
