Among the eight Jersey Shore stars, Deena Nicole was the last heard from on Twitter after Hurricane Sandy swept through New Jersey, damaging much of the Jersey shore. But that didn’t mean she wasn’t helping fellow victims, as some Twitter followers seemed to think.

On November 5, Deena fired back at all the anonymous critics who claimed that she and her castmates weren’t doing enough to help.

“My cast mates and I are doing everything we can to help .. The ignorant comments towards us are ridiculous.. You have no idea what we are all doing behind the scenes of stupid twitter.”

We sympathize with Deena. After all, her family’s house in New Jersey was hit hard, and she lost all power on Monday night (October 29). While Snooki was able to tweet about the donations she made, even tweeting photos of all the clothes she was giving to victims, Deena didn’t yet have access to an electrical outlet.

Do you think her Twitter attackers were way too harsh? Or do you think Deena should have acted sooner?

It’s worth noting that the entire cast will headline MTV’s upcoming fundraising event, Restore the Shore, which will air live on MTV on November 15. Viacom, MTV’s parent company, has already donated $1 million to help with efforts to rehabilitate neighborhoods affected by the storm.
