The Jersey Shore cast has mostly been accounted for, informing fans that they’re safe and sound (Save Deena Nicole!) after Hurricane Sandy’s record flooding and storm damage tore through New Jersey. But was their iconic summer job haven, the Shore Store, so lucky?

Judging by a photo of the world-famous T-shirt shop, the Shore Store has sadly been damaged.

TMZ posted the photo (click here to view), which showed the store’s metal doors completely caved in. The boardwalk directly in front of the store’s entrance has been ripped apart, much like the rest of the Jersey shore boardwalk, all the way down to Atlantic City.

According to a source, “the storm caused severe water damage to a lot of the merchandise — including t-shirts and jewelry display cases — as well as screen printing equipment.” And those big metal doors? They reportedly cost “several thousand dollars” each. (We should note that the Jersey Shore house, which is located behind the Shore Store, is safe.)

On the bright side, we think it’s safe to assume that the Shore Store’s owner Danny Merk has had insurance on this piece of real estate for a long time. With eight of the Shore’s wildest and craziest residents employed there every summer, he’d better!
