Poor DirecTV subscribers might not be getting their favorite MTV shows back any time soon.

Earlier this month, Viacom pulled their channels off of DirecTV after negotiations between the two companies became heated. The companies are currently negotiating a long-term deal to keep Viacom channels (which include MTV, VH1, and Nickelodeon)  on DirecTV. However, DirecTV felt that Viacom was asking for too much money, and things went downhill from there.

Today, a top executive at Viacom told the Los Angeles Times that the negotiations have “broken down” and it doesn’t look like DirecTV customers will be getting their Viacom channels back.

"I really don’t see any end in sight, truthfully," Viacom’s Denise Denson said in an interview, adding that “they have not ever engaged in negotiations.”

So, what can DirecTV subscribers do? Call DirecTV at 800-531-5000 and tell them that you are dissatisfied with losing your favorite shows. After that, you might want to look into finding another cable or satellite provider.

It’s an unfortunate situation, but we hate to miss even one episode of Snooki & JWOWW!

Catch the next episode of Snooki & JWOWW on Thursday, July 19 on MTV.
