How did Snooki and JWOWW really behave when they were filming their new spin-off, Snooki & JWOWW, in Jersey City? Adam Robb, a journalist and “nosy neighbor turned amateur paparazzo,” spilled the beans on show to New York Magazine after following the dynamic duo around while they filmed their show earlier this year.

Adam’s revelations, if true, are pretty shocking. Adam says that the girls would regularly park illegally, including in front of fire hydrants (which we saw last night) and in “No Parking Zones.” That’s not so scandalous (celebs will do what they want!) but Robb notes that one police officer was caught on camera talking a parking enforcer out of ticketing JWOWW’s car. After that, says Robb, the girls were forced to park in municipal lots, like the rest of us.

In addition, Adam claims that the girls lived out of a nearby hotel (the Newport Westin) during filming of their show. Living in a hotel before and after production isn’t that shocking (the Jersey Shore cast will often spend a few days in a hotel before officially moving into their house) but Adam claims that the girls would spend “nights and weekends in particular” in the hotel, suggesting that they weren’t really living together 24/7. This could be for privacy reasons, since Snooki was pregnant at the time of filming and both girls were in steady relationships with their boyfriends. Adam also claims that the girls spent a “rumored $100k” on clothes at a Forever21 near the hotel. A hundred grand on cheap Forever21 clothes? Did they buy out the entire store? That's impressive.

Adam also says that the girls never interacted with neighbors until their final day of filming, when they went around the neighborhood to hand out cookies and fruit. The neighbors, mostly retired/elderly people, gave the gals mixed reactions, which will undoubtedly make for some good TV.

Are any of these accusations true? It’s Adam’s word against MTV’s, although he does back up his claims with plenty of photos. Maybe the girls weren’t the best neighbors (which they readily admit) but since TV is tricky and expensive, so it takes some planning. Plus, Snooki was pregnant at the time, so she did deserve a break from filming now and then by staying in a hotel. Could you imagine going through morning sickness while being filmed 24/7 away from your family and boyfriend?

Also, this is 2012. Everyone and their mother realizes that reality shows have set up situations. So the two didn’t live in their Jersey City apartment 24/7? Who cares! As long as the drama and emotions are real, that’s all we care about.

Catch the next episode of Snooki & JWOWW on on Thursday, June 28 on MTV.
